We’re all broken . . . and sometimes that comes out.
Some people (even Christians) will occasionally “bite us.”
Lisa Harper reminds us to be wise in our relationships—and remember that our identity isn’t based on other people, but on who we are in Christ.

My question is for Lisa. I live in Colorado but grew up in Texas and I attended Early High School where my drama teacher was Mrs. Ethridge. She used to tell us stories about you because she said she used to teach you in Texas. She once read us a note you had mailed to her. I am not sure if she is still alive but she was an amazing lady and she was so very proud of you. Do you remember her?
Sisters in Christ,

Very true! I must remember that my identity is rooted in what God thinks of me and He went far enough to give His own life through His Son, Jesus. We must guard our heart and our tongue and be reminded that there is an audience of One we act before–our God.
Thank You Lisa for your message. You have no idea how timely it was for me to hear today. Thank you for allowing God to speak to my heart through you!
May God Bless Your Day Abundantly!
THANK YOU. I NEEDED TO BE REMINDED OF THAT, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A HUSBAND WHO REMINDS ME TO BE CAREFUL. I THINK IT HELPS HEARING IT FROM ANOTHER WOMAN.
The first thing this morning the Lord brought this very thing to my attention.
I need to be careful, aware and wise about who I share my thoughts with. It’s good to trust, but be smart about it!
it really hurts when it comes from family. also from closest of freinds
what you said is so true
I could not download this audio-message because I have to use the public computer at the library, and the computer said that this audio-message could only be downloaded in unprotected mode. I do not trust the unprotected mode when dealing with my personal e-mail address, therefore I could not download it to listen to it, and therefore I missed out on any content of the message transcript. I think that a visual written message with the same material should be available.
I love it. As christians, we need to be careful with relationships. I have learned to go to my Lord for everything. People don’t listen anymore, they are too busy doing their own thing. Thank you
What a revelation! I’ve learned what Lisa has told us the hard way after I got bruised so badly through betroyal and lies levelled on me by two family members. I am still recovering from that pain. For a long time, I didn’t know what they were doing to me behind the scenes because I live outside the country but every time I returned home, I saw the indifference from other and I would wonder why. Things got so bad one day and what I heard was calculated raw evil meant to hurt me for no reason. It wasn’t true, but others bought it. I am still recovering, praying but its been a journey and there are times when I get echoes of that and I wonder how I can completely get rid of it.
