It’s the dawn of a new century and Olivia Stewart is heiress to an empire—an empire on the edge of collapse. Only a “good” marriage will bring security back to her family. And that’s where things get interesting . . .
Olivia’s sister was engaged to Harrison Bennett, one of the nation’s wealthiest men, but Eleanor died. Now the pressure is on Olivia to take her place, despite her suspicions about Eleanor’s fiancé. Olivia travels to Mercy Falls, California (as “Lady Devonworth”) to learn more before committing to marriage. There she finds that Eleanor’s death was no accident . . . and Harrison is not the man she thought he would be.
At the elegant Mercy Falls masquerade ball, Olivia’s identity will be revealed and truths long hidden will come to light. Can Harrison love Olivia when he finds her true identity? Can she live with the repercussions of failing her family, or will she finally realize that nothing—not money, family, or romance—will ever compare to God’s unconditional love?

A Note from Author Colleen Coble
I’m fascinated with the early 1900s. I’m an avid fan of “Downton Abbey” too, how about you? So I wanted to explore that era of rampant materialism in an American setting. Our feelings of worth can get so tied up in who we are and what we own instead of Whose we are.
The Lightkeeper’s Ball was a fun way to explore those themes as Olivia comes to grips with the fact that her family’s name and money mean nothing in light of eternity. When she meets handsome Harrison, they embark on a quest to discover what happened to her sister—and discover love and true worth along the way. Hope you enjoy it!
