  1. Perhaps I have missed it, but i would enjoy reading an excerpt, to whet my taste, from “The Voice” here on WOF. I study from many versions, I like to have them at hand and I use them all in my writings. I am excited about this new offering from Thomas Nelson Inc.

    Susan Bertrand says

THE VOICE BIBLE is yet “another gospel” as the Holy Bible warns us about. The Message Bible is also “another gospel”. We are warned several times by Jesus Himself, “see that no one deceives you.” Deception is rampant in the Last Days, and the Voice Bible is yet another example of deception. How dare man presume to rewrite the Bible as given by the Holy Spirit of God, as a novel, or a collection of creative literature. Jesus Christ is the Living Word, Eugene Petersen & the writers contributing to the Voice Bible are not. To say that they also are inspired by the Holy Spirit is very dangerous ground. The Gospel of Jesus Christ as written in the Holy Scriptures is the truth. People must be given the truth, not yet “another gospel”. Be a Berean, Acts 17:11, and think again whether these books are the Word of God, or grand deceptions, pleasing to the ears.
