History is all about leadership. Solitary figures emerge on the scene and become the major influence, for good or bad, of an entire generation. When Moses died, that person was Joshua, who’d been mentored by Moses and became one of the most outstanding leaders of all time. He loved God and was obedient to His commands. Joshua was a man of great faith. No wonder God used him so mightily. The mission of Joshua was born in a promise in chapter one: “I will be with you.” Trusting that great promise and the One who gave it, Joshua did what he was told. He was strong and courageous. His story is one of incredible victory. From the Women of Faith Devotional Bible. This week our journey through the Bible takes us to Jericho and beyond with Joshua—and introduces us to Rahab, one of the Bible’s “bad girls” (as Liz Curtis Higgs would call her) in Joshua chapter 2. Besides introductions to each of the Bible’s 66 books, the Women of Faith Devotional Bible, also features 366 devotionals, more than 500 quotes from our speakers and friends, and much more.
