David is one of the most beloved characters in human history. He was triumphant but terribly troubled. We read his story in the Book of 2 Samuel. No one has been a brighter star in biblical history, and no one has fallen further.
We identify with David whose frailties are colossal, but whose heart sought the Lord and teaches us to seek Him. We are indebted to him for the model he is – in his single-minded devotion to God as well as his monumental mistakes in serving Him. We learn from his experience, both the good and the bad.

I don’t know why people call everyone in the Bible “characters”. They are not “characters”, they were real people. Characters are in books and movies. The people in the Bible were actually alive, therefore, they were real people. Sorry for repeating myself.
