There are love stories . . . and then there’s the story of Kristian and Rachel Anderson. When Kristian wanted to show his wife Rachel how much he loved her after learning he was terminally ill, he ended up winning millions of hearts around the world, thanks to this now famous YouTube video he made for her birthday (with a little help from Hugh Jackman).
Kristian’s faith was foundational to him and he openly shared his prayers, his struggles, and the hope he found in his relationship with God. His story, told in his own words from his blog entries, with additions from his beloved Rachel, will inspire others to know that even in the darkest moments, the light can shine through.

This sounds like a fascinating read … however I am being prevented from getting it because it is for Kindles only. I have a nook, and it won’t let me receive these books through this new way. Please think about these changes you have implemented, if I can’t get the books that I have totally enjoyed through your program I may think twice about renewing when my membership expires.
Kristen,
We’re sorry for your trouble. We’ve updated this post to show how you can get this on your Nook. We hope this helps.
Thank you for your patience.
Good Morning,
I have followed the instructions and I am having difficulty downloading the free connection book. I signed up for NetGalley as requested, however, in order for me to request the book I need to fill out a profile with information such as website and company. I prefer not to have to fill out a profile and the instructions given say to only sign up. Does NetGalley have something specific for Women of Faith members because it seems as though it is for professional readers only?
Any information you can share will be helpful.
Thank you,
Rosanne Rollette
Rosanne,
If you feel uncomfortable giving your information on the profile, you can put NA in those fields. All we would ask is if you would please list WOF as the company so that NetGalley knows where the download is coming from. I hope this helps.
Thank You for your patience.
Replying to my post to add something.
For the WOF book, “Days Like These” it says “READ NOW” and when I click on it it says “Please fill in your Profile before requesting a title”. I have my profile filled out as much as I can using NA where needed and WOF too.
I know its a simple over look on my part but where?
Thank you again!
Lorena,
The place where you would finish your profile would be here once you’re logged in. https://www.netgalley.com/reviewer/profile

Followed all the instructions – more than once. Still won’t let me get the book. What a waste of my time!

Free eBooks for Connection members are now available through NetGalley. This is a change from our previous download process and we know it hasn’t been easy for some members to negotiate the new procedure. We are actively working to find a better solution that will be more user-friendly.
Until we can put that solution in place (probably sometime later this year), we want to let you know the reason behind the change: Piracy of ebooks is a huge problem for the publishing industry. While no one is suggesting our members are part of the problem (we trust our members!), our publishing partners have established new requirements to protect their authors and books. Due to those requirements, we can no longer offer current books as downloadable files from our website.
That means, for the time being, the only way to download our ebooks is via NetGalley. We expect this to be a temporary process and greatly appreciate your patience while we find a solution. Meanwhile, NetGalley provides a wealth of information and tips to help troubleshoot issues at: http://netgalley.uservoice.com/knowledgebase. We will also help (as best we can) anyone who requests help through our website. Thank you for understanding . . . and happy reading!
You can also contact Net Galley directly and they will help troubleshoot. support@netgalley.com When you send your note, make sure to include that “I am a member of Zondervan’s Women of Faith (WOF) online review program.” Also include the link you used to download the book https://www.netgalley.com/catalog/show/id/25125
I am having trouble also with getting the download. It tells me to complete my profile and I have done so including the categories. It will not let me download the book.

OK, first getting things set up with Net Galley was an issue. Now, after 3 days of working on it, I finally got the account set up with Net Galley, I still can’t get the book. I followed their directions and I have no idea where the book was sent to or how to actually get it on my Kindle.
I wasn’t thrilled about having to set up and keep track of another online account – I have enough already. And now that it’s not working without major hassle, I’m even less excited. At this point, I will be thinking twice and possibly not renewing my Connection membership when it expires. Especially when events close enough for me to reasonable travel to are getting fewer and fewer all the time.

I have completed my profile 17 times, and each time i touch READ NOW it makes me do my profile again. I have followed all of the above instructions including those in the comments and its the same thing. This is very frustrating as the month is almost over and i still haven’t received my title. What was wrong with the previous way of posting our free books each month? I have a nook color, are you able to just send me a link for the book?

P.S. We will make sure this book is available until mid-April for our members so everyone has ample time to successfully download – especially being the 1st time to use this new process.
I do not wish to add another app. Why can’t I use ibooks as I have in the past?
Thank you

Very frustrated! Followed all instructions adding emails, etc. to kindle and netgalley settings and still cannot download the book. This is the main reason I signed up for the Connection and it has been more trouble than not trying to download these books; it is not worth it.
We are sorry it’s been difficult to get this ebook. Our publishing partners have promised us there will be a new (easier) process by later this year. In the meantime, the folks at NetGalley will help troubleshoot. Email them at support@netgalley.com When you send your note, make sure to include that “I am a member of Zondervan’s & Thomas Nelson’s Women of Faith (WOF) online review program.” Also include the link you used to download the book https://www.netgalley.com/catalog/show/id/25125 This will help them respond faster to our members.
Tried when the book first came out and gave up. Checked today for Aprils book. Saw last mo was still available so decided to try again. This is not an easy or convenient process. Now I’m waiting for approval so can’t read now?. The growing pains (?) WOF has gone thru the last few years are slowly driving me away. The events aren’t as good, while the $ goes up, the website is less friendly and the ebooks are not convenient. Seriously thinking of unsubscribing, although that makes me sad. I’ve been with WOF since the beginning ….

Thank you for all your help. The process is much easier now.
Just discovered this new way to download the free books. After a few bumps, I’m signed up with Net Galley. Just sent my first book to my kindle from their site. Checked out previous month’s books and tried to request this one, but Net Galley shows it as “Archived Apr 29th”. Does that mean I can no longer access it?
Net Galley looks quite interesting.
