God is at Work

GodisatworkRead what God says to us through the prophet Isaiah:

“Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? There it is! I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands.” —Isaiah 43:18–19 msg

Today, what if you decided to turn and see God?

What if you could see that everywhere God is, there is the fullness of His character and that He promises you a love that is big and deep and wide and high?

He is doing a new thing with your future. He makes brand-new roads through the desert of your circumstances. His plans for you include more than you could ever imagine or hope for.

The day has come for you to stop going over “old history.” The future is bursting out in front of you. Turn and see. There has been a long, dark valley, but we are walking toward the mountain of God.

Thank you for these powerful words. We all need a wake-up call now and then so we will know that God is who He says He is and can be trusted with every aspect of our lives.

Wow! This just spoke volumes to me right now. I’ve been worrying about something new that’s happening in my life because I’ve been comparing it to past situations that ended horribly, and this just spoke peace into my heart regarding the situation. Thank you Lord.

  3. I really needed to read this. I do believe that God is at work, but sometimes I have a tendency to be in His way of working in, through, and around me to accomplish His will for my life. I have always had a tendency to think about the the things that either happened or didn’t happen in my life, but now I see that God has a plan for me and all I have to do is let go and Let God do the new in my life!

  4. I have to comment on this, because when I read this, it spoke to me “literally”. I needed this word today so badly apparently, that as I was reading the 3rd paragraph, where is says “Today,” as I was reading, I literally read/saw/heard (however you want to put it) my own name, “Toni”. I didn’t realize it til I got to the end of that sentence and I was like wait a second, and I looked back to see what it actually said and I got goosebumps! I love when God uses small things such as these blogs of encouragement, to speak to us and remind us that He hasn’t forgotten about us. That He hears our prayers & feels our pain. Thank you for sharing this piece of encouragement today. I pray others will benefit from these as much as I do!
