Healing Stones
Ever ridden a rollercoaster? (Or watched one?) You know how they get to the top of the hill and suddenly BOOM! You’re hurtling straight down at break-neck speed, twisting, turning, climbing, barely able to catch a breath before the next adrenaline-pumping dive.
That’s what reading Healing Stones is like — a rollercoaster of emotions from the very first page. Nancy Rue and Stephen Arterburn joined forces to create a fast-paced story filled with intrigue, betrayal, reunions, and the occasional piece of champagne cake.
Packed with believable characters and a tangle of sub-plots, Healing Stones is more than the story of a woman caught in adultery. Sitting in on Demi’s sessions with Sullivan Crisp (a counselor with issues of his own) is almost as good as going to therapy yourself. Don’t be surprised if you take away insights into your own emotional ride.
Just one word of warning: don’t start Healing Stones late at night. You may find yourself reading into the wee hours!
