| Have
you ever wondered if anyone notices
all the things you do for others? I
know we aren't doing them for that reason,
but if no one says anything, we begin
to feel, well, taken for granted. Or
at least I do. It doesn't take a lot
to satisfy me, just a "Thanks,"
or "That was really nice,"
or "You are so thoughtful."
The Invisible Woman
knows how we feel. “Who's
she?” you ask. Well, over and
above the fact that she's Nicole Johnson's
main character in her book of said title,
the Invisible Woman is most of us. A
gal who runs fast and works hard and
is gradually losing touch with her sense
of worth to the world around her.
If you've ever leaned
into the hallways of your home or workplace
to listen for deserved applause and
instead been greeted with a loud silence,
you'll love this book. If you've ever
felt that what you do is insignificant,
you'll be heartened by this valuable
little volume filled with such heart.
Or if you are in need of a little comfort
and cheerleading, you'll want to peruse
this stellar offering.
I have read and reread
this bedside wonder, and I am encouraged
each time I pick it up. And it fits
tidily into a purse to take to work
or for travel as well as being an ideal
girlfriend gift, Secret Sister present,
or stocking stuffer.
Nicole dedicated this
book to her sister, who has 11 children.
We can only imagine all that she does
in a day!
I personally think every
woman should own this treasure, and
that it should be once-a-month required
reading to help keep us in good mental,
emotional, and spiritual health.
God Bless and Happy Reading,
