Billboard Magazine describes her as "One of the most affecting communicators in any genre." An award-winning Canadian songwriter and recording artist, Carolyn has released 9 albums and is a critically-acclaimed author, as well. Her newest project is Pollyanna’s Attic, which she describes as a collection of “grumpy songs”. Others are calling it her most honest and beautiful work to date. Pollyanna’s Attic won ‘Folk Album of the Year’ at this year's Shai Awards and has received a Juno nomination for ‘Best Gospel Album’. "I don’t write songs and books as much as I get ambushed by them," Carolyn confesses. "And I write primarily about God because he is what captivates my imagination. The idea that we can know the Creator of the Universe, and that he knows us … I simply can’t think of any more fascinating subject matter." Carolyn lives in Surrey, BC with her husband Mark, nine-year-old son Ben, and four-year-old daughter Bethany. |
