You say you have questions? That's okay. My plea to you even in the midst of the questions is simple: talk to God and take time to listen. No matter how "vertically challenged" we may believe ourselves to be, God is listening and talking to us all the time. We only need to learn to stop and listen.

We are living in difficult times. War and terrorism are no longer a million miles away from home. Cancer and heart disease are waging an unprecedented battle against younger and younger people. The financial "golden days" of the 1980s are long gone. People worry if they will have enough savings to help their children through college or if they themselves will have enough to retire on. The bottom line is, life is hard... Click here to read more.

Need a quick centerpiece? When flowers are scarce, there's always fruit! Fresh fruit is a much more effective decoration as a part of a flower arrangement than in a bowl. Lemons, limes and apples work well for this type of arrangement.

Vegetables such as broccoli and cabbage are also interesting additions to floral designs. There are limitless possibilities—grapes, melons, oranges and pomegranates to mention a few.

There's a stampede of fear out there. Let's not get caught in it. Let's be among those who stay calm. Let's recognize danger but not be overwhelmed. Acknowledge threats but refuse to be defined by them. Let others breathe the polluted air of anxiety, not us. Let's be numbered among those who hear a different voice, God's. Enough of these shouts of despair, wails of doom. Why pay heed to the doomsdayer on Wall Street or the purveyor of gloom in the newspaper? We will incline our ears elsewhere: upward. We will turn to our Maker, and because we do, we will fear less. Click here to read more.

When a band says it's "not really breaking up," it's typically just the stuff of good press release copy, only meant to appease the longtime fans. GospelMusicChannel.com catches up with artists who've scaled back their initial venture into Christian music, but for whom the art is no less important than it was then. Read more here.

What they're saying about Find Your Strongest Life:

"As a working mother, I found the concept of the book fascinating. There are daily struggles of trying to balance being the perfect wife, mother, and employee, and the book helped me truly understand how to navigate all those demands." — Jennifer

     •    A wilted flower can often be revived by re-cutting the stem and placing it into warm water in a cool place. Always use clean scissors and containers and check daily to be sure there is plenty of water in the container.

     •    A teaspoon of Clorox added to the water in a floral arrangement will help cut down on bacteria and keep the arrangement fresh for a longer period of time.

     •    If you choose to use broccoli, put the stems into a solution of half Clorox and half water for about an hour. This will keep the broccoli's aroma from becoming too pungent and help preserve the green color—but DON'T eat it!

Me, Myself, & God

When you were a teen girl, what was the one thing you most wanted to discover? (Besides a sure-fire way to make that cute boy in Math class notice you, that is.) During those formative years—and for some of us, for years after that—what we most long to know is who we are. Who did God create me to be? What am I here for?

Which brings us to Me, Myself, & God. It's an interactive guide that helps girls learn more about themselves and more about God. Packed with fun questions and quizzes, it even includes a separate pull-out journal. It's the sort of thing they'll keep and look back on years from now as they continue to develop into the person God created them to be.
