Episode 1: Forgiving the Unforgiveable

What happens when you refuse to forgive? What does asking for forgiveness look like? What if you ask . . . and they refuse to forgive you? Sheila teaches on this important act, sharing personal stories and practical tips for those struggling to forgive. Then she’s joined by Lysa TerKeurst, who shares a deep hurt of her own to help us “count it all joy” in the process of forgiveness. Episode 2: The Shame Game Guilt is what you feel when you’ve done something wrong. Shame is the feeling that you are something wrong. We generally find ways to cope, masks we wear to hide our shame . . . but it’s exhausting. Lysa TerKeurst again joins Sheila for a conversation; this time she shares a deeply personal story from her past that “ripped her soul to shreds” and how she learned to deal with the deep regrets of life. These two wise women answer questions submitted via Facebook, offer steps to help you put your shame to rest, and more.
Episode 3: Disappointment It’s a problem that no one talks about (especially in the church) but it’s an unavoidable part of life. Sheila Walsh and Pastor Judah Smith break the silence to discuss life’s disappointments . . . and how to deal with them. Sheila tells us how Scripture is like “a box of chocolates” and encourages us to feast on all of God’s Word of God, not just the pieces we like. Sheila and Judah go on to answer questions from Facebook like “How do you deal with disappointment of a child that walked away from faith?” and more.
Episode 4: Peace in the Storm Even when we know the Master we don’t know the master plan. It’s one thing to say “hold on” and another thing to do it, especially in the middle of a storm when we’re hanging on by our fingertips. Sheila Walsh and Pastor Judah Smith talk about some of their favorite New Testament stories to illustrate what it looks like to follow God despite our fears. They offer encouragement to those with doubts and share one simple step that will help us trust God more.
Episode 5: Let Jesus Calm Your Storm If you navigate by what you feel, you’ll end up as a wreck on the rocks. Chart your journey by the light of God’s Word and find safe harbor. In the final episode of The Storm Inside Webcast, Sheila Walsh and her good friend Lisa Harper come together for an honest conversation about some tough questions. No matter what our situation may be, deep down we all face the same issues. This episode tackles some of those issues and offers tools and tactics to help us balance the chaos of what we feel with the truth of what we know.Want to get emailed about more about webcasts like this in the future?

A Note from Sheila Walsh

Your letters, your tweets or Facebook posts and the conversations we’ve had at live events over the last few years have moved my heart and stayed with me. It’s clear that as women we all face storms so I’ve poured the last two years of my life into asking the question—how do we handle these storms and navigate the tough seasons in life? If we rely on our emotions alone we are in danger of serious shipwreck but I know that God’s Word is like a lighthouse on the darkest night that will guide us safely to shore. So that’s my prayer for each one of you. Specifically, I pray for 3 things: 1. That you will see that because of God’s grace every ending can lead to a new beginning. 2. That you will be able to exchange the “always” and “never” words in your life with words of real hope. 3. That you will now have the tools to help a friend who is in the middle of a devastating storm. I am grateful for your trust as we look at some of the hardest issues in life and profoundly grateful to Christ for the hope He offers to each one of us. Sheila_signature
