Choose to Always Rejoice
Let’s face it. Most of our lives are not made up of exciting experiences.
Most of our lives include the exact same activities, day in and day out.
For the most part, we all experience the same activities repeatedly, potentially creating discontentment, drudgery, or seeking the next exciting or fun experience.
Instead of finding joy and rejoicing always in our " every day " lives, we want something to look forward to, something more, but that simply isn’t a biblical perspective.
In 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 NKJV, we are told to
Rejoice ALWAYS, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
We may want to look forward to the weekend, the next vacation, or the next holiday, but what about today?
TODAY, we have the opportunity to praise God because He is good, not just because life is always good.
I encourage you to pause when all you want is to long for the next fun experience and, instead, choose contentment in your life today. Choose to rejoice always, in all circumstances.
God's contentment and peace in your life, no matter your circumstances, is the joy to find in your heart today!
