Move from Fear to Faith

No one wants to have a fear-based mindset.  And I mean NO ONE.  And yet we find fear to be running rampant among us.

I struggled with feeling fearful for much of my younger years, but I didn’t realize it!  I was afraid of letting people down, afraid of losing my job, afraid of what others would think of me, fearful of not having “enough,” and to being afraid of the dark and the unknown.  Looking back, my life was filled with fear.

Many of my thoughts were just based on fear of “something,” so my transformation from a fear-based mindset to a faith-filled lifestyle has been a long, difficult road.

Now, I see others living in constant fear, and my prayer is for everyone to be free from fear because life does not have to be that way!!!

Maybe you are living in fear. But, I want you to find a rhythm in your life that is meant for you!  I want you to experience the same shift that I have.

Here is what I know for sure. God has the power to make you new in this area of your life!

Becoming consumed, overwhelmed, or paralyzed by fear in your life is not what God has planned for you, and I want to show you how you can live a relaxed way of life, not just understand what some good ideas about it are but live it out in your day to day lives, successfully.

There are still times when fear creeps into my life to get the best of me!  And yet I come back to the truths of how to live in peace and be filled with joy, not give in to the world’s fears.

Let’s move from fear to faith.  Here we go…

  • Begin with a healthy fear (awe) of God.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7

  • Be determined to eradicate your fear-based mindset.

I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me? Psalm 56:4

  • Be assertive in analyzing your fear and discovering its source.

Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe. Proverbs 29:25

  • Be persuaded of the extent of God’s love for you.

I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is

in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38–39

  • Be dedicated to developing your faith in the Lord.

Blessed is the one . . . whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. Psalm 1:1–2

  • Be engaged with other believers.

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17

  • Be tenacious in using God’s Word to rein in your fears.

The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1

  • Be focused on facing your fear through the power of Christ.

The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it. 1 Thessalonians 5:24

  • Be set free from fear and be strong in faith.

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6–7

Moving from a fear-based mindset to a faith-filled life is a process. Here at Women of Faith, we have what you need to continue this transformation in your life.  Find the help you need because my prayer is for you to live a life of freedom!  And not fear.
