We can choose to be GRATEFUL
Friends,
I never want to get bored or nonchalant about how God works in our lives.
I LOVE to be surprised and excited about how God works in my life and others!
I LOVE feeling the child-like passion of seeing how God works in our lives!
I LOVE believing this: If He can do it for them, He can do it for me!
We can choose to be GRATEFUL, or we can choose to take God for granted.
Here are a few of my favorite promises I choose to be GRATEFUL for, especially as we celebrate Thanksgiving.
# 1 GRATITUDE:
God does not operate on your timeline or your ways of thinking.
So the next time you think you want something to happen NOW and it doesn’t happen, remember this.
He is not bound and does not operate on our timeline or our ways of thinking.
This PROMISE from God is a reason for genuine gratitude!
There are times in my life that I can look back on and be so thankful that a situation or circumstance did not turn out the way I wanted.
Instead, God’s plans and purposes played out in my life.
His thoughts are higher. His ways are higher. Not mine.
I am thankful as we acknowledge what we are grateful for during this season.
And my hope and prayer are that you are also grateful for His ways in your life.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9
# 2 GRATITUDE:
His mercies are afresh every morning!
God’s love doesn’t run out for you.
I am so thankful for this promise.
His merciful love doesn’t just dry up!
What does this mean?
Well, mercy is NOT getting what you do deserve.
God doesn’t punish us as our sins deserve.
What an amazing promise, right?
His mercies are created new every morning!
So when you lay your head down tonight, remember this.
You can rest in peace because His mercies are afresh every morning.
When you wake up tomorrow morning, His merciful love is right there waiting for you.
Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning. â€â€Lamentations‬ â€3‬:â€23‬
# 3 GRATITUDE:
We know God's will for our lives.
The Bible tells us to:
Always be joyful.
Never stop praying.
And to be thankful in all circumstances.
This is God's will for you in Christ Jesus!
Wow! That sounds pretty simple, right!?!
During this Thanksgiving season, will you join me in being intentional and focused in being joyful, pray throughout the day and have an ongoing conversation with your best friend Jesus.
Finally, be thankful in ALL circumstances.
Even when it’s not easy.
Let’s follow Jesus.
This is God’s will for you!
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. â€â€1 Thessalonians‬ â€5‬:â€16‬-â€18‬
#4 GRATITUDE:
YOU!!! I am so very grateful for you!
I am so very grateful God chose me to serve you.
My hope and prayer for you during this time of thanksgiving is that the LORD, the Master we serve may pour favor and blessings on you and your loved ones.
You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. John 15:16
