You’ll Be Fine, I Promise. He is Building a Palace
You’ll Be Fine, I Promise. He is Building a Palace.
Here’s the reality: You have been 100% successful at making it through your most difficult days.
When someone shares their current circumstances, I often find myself saying, “You’ll be fine, I promise.” I encourage them that they can face whatever comes their way. They will get through it.
Even if it is painful.
Even if there are grave losses because of the situation.
Even if it is not how they thought their life would go.
So fortunately and maybe unfortunately, my famous saying is, “You’ll be fine, I promise”.
I am sure my family and friends sometimes do not appreciate this response.
And I seriously do not mean this flippantly or casually.
I mean this with all sincerity.
I’m not downplaying the feelings they’re having.
What they are going through is absolutely real.
Here is what I know, though; you have been 100% successful in making it through your most difficult days.
THIS… whatever THIS is, makes you into what God has designed for your life.
You have made it through the most challenging seasons of your life thus far. With God on your side.
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. Romans 5:3-4 NLT
I have made it through:
Loss of marriage
Loss of vehicle
Loss of home
Loss of job
Loss of status
Loss of friends
Loss of direction in life.
And this all happened in just a few months.
While going through it, I had no idea what to do, which way to go, or what God was doing with me. Was it soul-crushing, lonely, and scary? Yes, yes, and yes.
But ya know what? I WAS fine. I AM fine. Actually, I am great now. (I don’t want this to sound like bragging???)
If I had not gone through those most challenging days of my life, would I have become the person God needed me to be?
I doubt it.
And ya know what? I’m better for it.
It built my character and spiritual maturity to be who I am today.
The next time you think you can’t make it through another difficult situation, remember that with God on your side, you will always be fine.
I am so grateful God disciplined me to be where He needed me to be.
He allowed me the opportunity to tear down the life I had built on my own and rebuild the life He had initially designed for me.
God showed me how to build the life He created for me on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ alone.
Our Heavenly Father has something specific in mind for each of us:
I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations. Jeremiah 1:5 NLT
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. Psalm 139:14, 16 NLT
This CS Lewis quote from Mere Christianity sums it up for us:
Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on; you knew that those jobs needed doing, and so you are not surprised. But presently, He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to?
The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of - throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were being made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself.
I had settled for the cottage, but He had a palace intended for me.
He designed you to be a palace as well. Do you accept that challenge?
Because ‘You WILL be fine’ and will come out on the other side of it as a beautiful palace instead of the cottage you had settled for.
I’m believing for you to live victoriously despite your current circumstances because Jesus came for us to live abundant lives!
I’m believing for transformational growth for you, for you to step into places you have never been with confidence, and to be bold and courageous as you face all that comes your way.
May you remember He has come to build a palace - in YOU!!!
I am wildly cheering you,
🤍 Alita 🤍
