What Is Godly Anointing?

Godly anointing is the divine empowerment, consecration, and setting apart of an individual by God for His purpose. It is the Holy Spirit’s presence and power at work in a person’s life, equipping them for spiritual growth, leadership, ministry, and divine assignments. Anointing is not just a symbolic act but a spiritual reality that comes from God alone.

Anointing as God’s Selection and Calling

In the Bible, anointing signifies God choosing and setting apart individuals for specific roles, such as kings, prophets, and priests.

📖 1 Samuel 16:13 – “So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David.”

📖 Exodus 30:30 – “Anoint Aaron and his sons and consecrate them so they may serve Me as priests.”
