THE ALITA REYNOLDS SHOW
Two Weeds That Choke Your Spiritual Growth | Rooted for Life | Part 2 | Alita Reynolds | Women of Faith
Have you been striving just to survive spiritually, when Jesus is inviting you to thrive?
In this Rooted for Life teaching, I share two weeds to beware of so you do not get choked out and lose your spiritual strength. Weeds can look harmless at first, but over time they steal your peace, your fruit, and your focus.
We are grounding this message in Psalm 1:3. We are like trees planted by the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Our leaves do not have to wither, and we can prosper in all we do.
This is the kind of life God wants for you. Steady, fruitful, and deeply rooted in Christ.
Then we get practical. We talk about who you choose to be around most, and why your closest influences matter.
We also talk about anything that distracts your relationship with Jesus. Weeds can be worries and daily pressures. They can be the deceitfulness of wealth and chasing what never satisfies. They can be pleasures and desires that slowly take priority over God’s will for your life.
We also look at Acts 2 and how the early church grew strong roots through teaching, fellowship, shared meals, prayer, generosity, worship, and awe in God’s presence. This is not just a story of old. This is a picture of how you can live today when you build your life around the Word and around godly community.
Here is my challenge for you this week. Release at least one weed. Ask yourself, what needs to go so Jesus can be first again? What grows in your life is what you make room for, and you can make room for more of Him.
I’m wildly cheering you!
