Are You Struggling With Suicide? There is Hope.
Are You Struggling With Suicide?
Rashawn Copeland shared so openly with me about the struggles he faced in his past; including a time of suicidal thoughts.
I asked him what his encouragement would be to anyone struggling right now with those same thoughts. Listen in to hear his encouragement.
Psalm 40:1-2 says, “I waited patiently for the LORD to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.”
Rashawn shared, "I would encourage someone out there who's struggling with suicide. Just remember, like, here's the thing about suicide. You feel like you're in this box and there's nothing beyond it. I want to tell you with Christ, there's hope. There's hope with him. Like no matter how dark it may seem, no matter how far you feel you are to be reached, no matter how unworthy you are, to be love. Like God, He loves you and He will meet you right where you are right now today. And David went through the same thing in Psalms 40. He said, I cried out to the Lord in a dark place, and he heard my cry He lifted me up out of the mud and mire out of that depression. And he gave me a firm place to stand and I think someone out there needs to hear that today. God can your his Your hand is not too far or his hand is not too short that he cannot save you."
