Before You Start 2026… Choose This

 Hey sweet friends!

The beginning of a new year always stirs anticipation. We sense that God is moving, directing, and inviting us into something more. As a Women of Faith community, we have already set our foundation by beginning our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting on January 5th. If you have not joined in yet, it is not too late. Simply watch the episode Prayer and Fasting: How God Meets You When You Seek Him First and begin the journey with us.

This season is also a beautiful time to prayerfully choose your Word of the Year.

My word for 2026 is endurance. God whispered it to my heart, and I instantly knew it was the one. But here is what matters most: He has a word for you as well. A word that will anchor your spirit, shape your priorities, and draw you closer to Him. Some words bring comfort. Others stretch and refine. Either way, God uses your word to grow you.

Identifying a word each year has shaped me in powerful ways, and my heart is for you to experience the same clarity and focus. When you focus on one intentional word, you invite God to meet you personally throughout the year. This word becomes something you return to when life gets busy, when discouragement sneaks in, and when you sense God stretching you. Like a promise, your word quietly reminds you that He is working intentionally in your life.

As you listen for your word, slow down and invite the Lord to speak. Pay attention to what keeps resurfacing. You may see it in scripture, hear it in conversation, or sense it gently in prayer. Write it down, look up the definition, journal what it means, and talk with someone you trust. Over time, you will see how God confirms it.

You are stepping into a year where God desires to strengthen, revive, and equip you. When you choose your word, you are saying, “Lord, I am eager for You to work in me.” And He will.

I would love for you to watch the full episode Find Your Word for 2026: Clarity, Focus, and God’s Direction” on The Alita Reynolds Show. I walk with you step by step, sharing stories and guidance to help you listen, discern, and step into 2026 with intention. Be sure to explore the Alita Guide for ideas as you begin. My prayer is that your word becomes a beautiful invitation to trust God and seek Him more deeply this year.

I’m wildly cheering you!

Alita Reynolds
