Faith in God
Faith in God
Here’s a secret: mommy’s beds are powerful. When my kids snuggled in bed with me, colds were cured, bad days got better, tears dried up, and no creepy thing or bump in the night stood a chance! For my kids, life was right in my presence.
Sisters, life is right when we snuggle in God’s presence, too Moses understood this power principle better than anyone; in Exodus 33:15, he said to the Lord, “If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.” In essence, Moses was saying to God: “Daddy, we don’t feel safe without you and we aren’t going to do life without you.” He flat-out refused to leave God’s presence. And so should we.
In our day-to-day lives as women, we feel we have to have the answers, we have to manage our homes, we have to take care of everyone’s needs and, honestly, it’s just too easy to forget that we are God’s child. Moses didn’t forget that there is safety, provision, comfort, and peace in God's presence. When you have faith in God you can run into his presence in times of trouble, just like my little ones ran to me.
It’s time that we, as believers, run to our God, putting complete faith and confidence in him. Have you had any bad days recently? Then lift your hands right now and get into God’s presence. Have there been tears, creepy things, or bumps in the night that have left you feeling vulnerable, afraid, lonely, or fearful? Then know your heavenly Father is waiting right now with a warm spot right next to him just for you to snuggle close in his presence. Life will be so right when you do.
