FREEDOM from Guilt and Shame
It has false guilt. There is true guilt, but then shame and it has been such a bondage for me. Yeah. So there's bondage to something. And then there's freedom, right? And Jesus died on the cross for us to walk in freedom. That is the point. Yeah, it's one of the point. And it's like, so we can either choose to stay in bondage to guilt and shame, or we can choose to break free from that. And you know, you talk about walking or being in a staff room and walking outside. And then for me what I think of like, visually is this weight on my shoulders. Yeah, like this heavy burden. Yeah, that made me feel like I couldn't do a lot of things. Because I felt guilty. And I felt shameful. Yeah. And it didn't allow me to walk out of those doors, right.
And sadly, sometimes, people don't want us to it doesn't seem fair. So even if we don't guilt trip or shame ourselves, we hear the voices of others and and because too many times we don't root for one another, right? Especially people that have heard us directly. We don't root for them to be set free. We don't pray for them. We want them to suffer. And so when we're the ones on the end of that, that can keep us bogged down as much as US shaming ourselves or feeling guilty ourselves too.
Absolutely. It's hard.
