Ordinary Moments, Extraordinary Faith

Hey There,

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to point to the times when you’ve been out of step with God, and it is harder to pinpoint the moments when you’ve been walking closely with Him? That’s because our closeness with the Lord isn’t always dramatic or obvious.

It’s often found in the steady rhythm of ordinary life.

The true test of our spiritual life isn’t found on the mountaintop. It’s in the everyday, ordinary moments when no one is watching and nothing “big” is happening.

Consider Moses. He spent forty years in the wilderness as a shepherd before his extraordinary encounter at the burning bush. Those years of quiet preparation mattered deeply. God was shaping his character and his faith for the moment when He would call him to lead His people.

I also think about Enoch. Scripture (Genesis 5:24) says simply, “Enoch walked steadily with God.” What a beautiful testimony.

If one sentence could describe your life, what would it say?

Would it show that you lived faithfully in both the unseen and the celebrated moments?

Would it be a reflection of Jesus?

Here’s the encouragement: every ordinary day is an opportunity to prepare our hearts for what God may call us to tomorrow. It’s by making the simple choices, the quiet prayers, the steady obedience, that we get in step with Him.

Are you in step with God or feeling a little out of rhythm?

Where do you find yourself today? In my latest episode, Getting in Step with God, we talk about how the ordinary moments prepare us for the extraordinary. I’d love for you to watch and join the conversation!

I’m wildly cheering you,

Alita
