Prayer-An Opportunity to Co-Create with God
You know how they say that in our conversations with others we are either building up or tearing down? I was thinking about this in regards to our conversations with God.
THE BEAUTIFUL THING ABOUT OUR INTERCHANGE WITH THE FATHER IS THAT THERE IS NO TEARING DOWN, ONLY BUILDING UP.
Confess to one another, therefore, your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].
James 5:16 AMPC
Think about this. He is the Creator of all things. When we take things to Him concerning others, even concerning ourselves, where we might have a complaint or frustration, He hands us healing and forgiveness. Where we might bring Him dissatisfaction and disappointment, He meets us there with renewed vision and hope. If we enter His presence emptied of love, He pours out equally as extravagantly, filling us up all over again.
In I Peter, the word says, His love covers a multitude of sins. In His presence, in prayer, that covers shortcomings and short-sighted views of ourselves and others too.
WHEN PRAYER IS A CONTINUOUS, UNBROKEN MEANS OF EXPRESSION BETWEEN US AND THE FATHER, WE CAN VENT, WE CAN WAR, WE CAN WRESTLE, WE CAN REST, WE CAN HOPE AND BEST OF ALL, BECAUSE OF WHO HE IS, WE CAN TRUST HIM IN INTIMACY~ IN-TO-ME-SEE.
Hebrews says, He is the author and finisher of our faith. That means when we don’t have the eyes to see our story to start with, we meet eye to eye with the originator of it. Even when we don’t have faith for how things will end, with His power, He finishes perfectly.
We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor all things work together and are fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose. Romans 8:28
So, we don’t have to have it all together to talk to Him. When we come to Him in prayer, we are operating in oneness with the Father, partnering and creating together. He has it all together.
WE LITERALLY ENGAGE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE FATHER WHEN WE PRAY!
He owns all the deficit, all that we lack and all that we feel is missing ~He’s got it. He made it that way, not to frustrate us or leave us dissatisfied but to satisfy our longing and to satisfy His longing for communion and companionship with us!
In prayer, we get renewed, recharged, we create our stories together and we reap endless rewards in His presence. There we thrive, in Prayer we Thrive!

As a Professional Life Coach, Robyn Adams loves to help others on their journey to hope, healing, wholeness and clarity of purpose. Robyn can’t remember a time when she didn’t have the desire to listen to others so that she could offer them help and hope. It is the way Robyn is made. Robyn started pursuing her ambition to become a counselor by obtaining a degree in Psychology and Biblical Studies. To compliment her formal education, she has a wealth of experience working in organizations such as Youth with A Mission (YWAM) and YoungLives mentoring teen moms and young adults in personal development and discipleship. It was while researching her masters degree in counseling that she discovered Life Coaching and chose to take the journey herself. At 38 years old, she came to understand the value of self-awareness coupled with process as her own experience with a coach who helped her to become a more whole and healthy wife, mother, daughter and friend.
In 2008, she received her Certification in Professional Coaching and started Charistree. She offers several coaching tracks now from nutritional, personal and business coaching. Robyn’s foundational coaching process at its core is to expose the beauty and hope inside of hardship, instilling the courage in others to lean into transformation. By creating a safe and compassionate environment, she journeys through this process with others helping them to find hope, healing wholeness and clarity of purpose. Robyn believes that wholeness involves healing the body emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually and can be achieved first and foremost through the discovery of one’s own personal significance and inspiring vision for life. This is her passion.
