The Journey of Becoming Saints

The beauty of our lives with Jesus lies in the journey rather than the destination.

We aspire to become beautiful saints, living a life dedicated to Jesus while fully knowing that perfection is not something we will ever fully attain.

And that's the beauty of it all!  Instead of feeling frustrated by our inability to be perfect, we can daily accept the grace that covers us with every step we take.  We get to be on this journey forever and ever, continuously discovering and growing.   

I just love how God peels back the layers of our souls.

When we think we have something figured out, He reveals another area for growth.

And yet, constantly working to improve can be OVERWHELMING, EXHAUSTING, and TIRESOME, can't it?

We might find ourselves asking, “Can we just be done already?”

And in the same breath, we realize that staying stagnant is not what we truly desire.

We can’t be perfect, but we can’t stop trying, either.

We yearn for more, for a deeper understanding, for a closer relationship with Him.

The good news is that this perpetual state of growth keeps us aligned with Him.  God promises joy and life to those who seek Him daily because they will find Him, His ways, and His answers.

Joyful are those who listen to me, watching for me daily at my gates, waiting for me outside my home! For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the Lord. But those who miss me injure themselves. All who hate me love death. Proverbs 8:34-36 NLT

With every new layer that God removes, He reveals an opportunity to grow closer, to become more like the saints we admire, and to live out His will more fully.

Each step, each layer, brings us closer to the heart of God. And in this lifelong pursuit of sanctification, we find the true joy of walking with Jesus.

So, let’s embrace this never-ending journey with gratitude!
