“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” — 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
..."Who said anything about safe? 'Course he isn't safe. But he's good. He's the King, I tell you."
We may never understand why we suffer. We MUST trust that God is good and sovereign. This should bring us joy and hope in our greatest times of need.
“In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is...

For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.
2 Corintihians 1:12
Women warriors like things simple and perform at their best when it is simple. Simplicity creates a positive flow. Find your simplicity, and embrace your strength. Simplicity is one of those things many people say they desire. Few actually live with simplicity. In my experience, there are two primary reasons why people tend to overcomplicate things.
The first is a loss of focus. Many people tend to have no plan or direction in where they are going. Many seek all the various choices available to them. Where there is choice, there is complexity and misery.
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
Life is littered with what ifs.
What if there’s not enough money? Or resources to go around? Or the economy doesn’t improve? What if the person we’ve trusted breaks her promise? Or doesn’t fulfill his commitment? Or drops the ball completely? What if our health begins to fail? Or our loved ones pass away? Or we find ourselves alone?
Uncertainty surrounds us. The possibility of change can raise endless what if questions, causing us to worry. We all face legitimate challenges that need to be overcome and whenever we allow fear to take to root, we create space for worry and anxiety to set up shop in our lives. Once they begin working, they don’t want to stop.
Given enough time, worry can strangle the life out of us. In fact, the origin of the word worry when it first appeared in Old English meant “to strangle.” Over...
First John contains a tiny verse that assures us of our salvation in Jesus Christ. Don’t miss it in 1 John 5:13: “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.”
That settles is for all of us. The verse doesn’t say in order that we may “feel” or “think” or “hope;” it says clearly that we can know we have eternal life. What a great gift of God that He would want us to know, without a doubt, we will go to heaven when we die!
We are His, and when we die, we’ll be with Him forever. We know this, in part, because of John’s writing in this book.

Have you ever reached a crisis point in your marriage; hopelessly wondering if restoration was even possible or worth it? Perhaps you’ve asked yourself – what happened?
Two people came together in the name of love, making a covenant before God and family, only to now be spending more time in conflict than close connection. Unfortunately, this is more of a commonality in marriages today than ever. So where can you go when you feel like you’re at odds with your spouse?
When you believe that hope has been lost? Back to foundation of why God brought you together, that’s where! I believe that God brings people together with the intention for both to be stretched and to grow into the individuals that He desires them to become. I also believe that he uses the conflict areas in our marriage as a mirror to show us ‘growth opportunities’.
