Redemption and Recovery

I am thrilled to share our latest podcast episode, featuring a deeply impactful conversation with Kirsten D. Samuel. We believe this episode is a NOW message to share with our community.

In this episode, she opens up about her personal journey when her husband confessed to being caught watching pornography. This revelation was a turning point in their lives, leading them toward recovery and transformation. Kirsten shares how they navigated this challenging period, sought professional help, and ultimately rebuilt their marriage.

Key Takeaways:

  • The Initial Shock and Response: Kirsten describes the emotional turmoil she experienced upon learning about her husband's addiction and the immediate steps they took to seek help.
  • The Role of Professional Support: The importance of reaching out to trained counselors and the impact of having a support system.
  • Recovery and Redemption: How their marriage was saved and transformed into a more authentic and fulfilling relationship.
  • Kirsten's Ministry: Today, Kirsten works with women who discover their partner's pornography addiction, helping them to breathe, understand that it's not fatal, and find a path forward.

Pornography addiction is a topic that is often shrouded in secrecy and shame, both within and outside the church. Kirsten's story is a powerful testament that recovery is possible and marriages can be redeemed. Her ministry is a beacon of hope for many women facing similar struggles.

Here are a few statistics to consider. By the age of 11, most boys have been introduced to pornography. Approximately 90-95% of boys and 70-75% of girls in their teens are regularly watching pornography. These statistics highlight the pervasive nature of this issue and the urgent need for open conversations and support.
