Reflect on 2023 to Create Clarity for 2024

Are you looking forward to what 2024 has in store for you? 

Here is a super simple way to reflect on 2023 and create clarity for 2024.

Grab a journal, and prayerfully consider these questions:

What brought you joy last year? And what didn’t?

What went well in the last year? And what didn’t?

What lessons did you learn?

How has your relationship with Jesus deepened this year?

What will you keep from this past year? And what will you let go of?

To help find the answers to these questions, I like to look back through my journal, photos, calendar, and even my financial statements (yes, where I invest my financial resources tells me a lot about my priorities).

I pray this time of reflection creates more freedom, renews your thought processes, and allows you to let go of baggage, including any resentment, unforgiveness, guilt, shame, anger, and self-limiting beliefs you may have held onto.

My personal favorite tip is to BE GENTLE WITH YOURSELF in this process!  

This isn’t the time to get down on yourself. You are simply reflecting, not judging or condemning yourself. 

Ask the LORD to give you wisdom and discernment for 2024 based on what you learned.
